Apple's iOS 10 update for iPhone and iPad lives up to its milestone software version number, with major changes to your daily phone and tablet routine.
You won't recognize the interface, it's that different. But don't worry, as you'll read in our iOS 10 first look, almost all of the new iOS 10 features are for the best - and absolutely free to download.
It's been in development – alongside watchOS 3for the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Series 2 and macOS for Macs – since the company's WWDC conference in June. This is finally ready.
It'll take time to wrap your head around the new functionality of this mobile operating system, so we went ahead of broke it down for you. Here's what we've learned about iOS 10.
Apple has officially announced the iPhone 7 today. The new iPhone features a design that's very similar to last year's iPhone 6S (and the year prior's iPhone 6), with a rounded aluminum body. But what's entirely new is the phone's water resistance, which means you can get the iPhone 7 or the larger iPhone 7 Plus wet without worry. Also new is the long-rumored dual camera system, stereo speakers, and a darker black color scheme. And, as expected, the iPhone 7 does not have a headphone jack, rendering countless 3.5mm headphones useless with the device (or requiring the use of an adapter).
The new phone may look very similar to last year's models, but instead of the matte metal finish we've become used to it, it has a glossy, mirrored design. The new color is called Jet Black and is much darker and richer than the Space Black of years past. Apple is also releasing a standard black model, along with gold, silver, and rose gold.
Apple has redesigned the iconic home button for the iPhone 7, making it force sensitive, like the Force Touch trackpads used in recent MacBook laptops. The phone has also gained the Taptic Engine haptic feedback system from the Apple Watch, which provides different vibration feedback for various alerts.

Apple says the new phone will be available for purchase on September 16th, though preorders start today. The device was revealed by Apple's Twitter account ahead of being announced on stage, a rare blunder for an Apple product launch
iPhone 7 Price Past reports have revealed the China pricing of the iPhone 7 all storage variants. In China, the iPhone 7 is expected to be priced at CNY 5,288 (roughly Rs. 53,100), CNY 6,088 (roughly Rs. 61,200), and CNY 7,088 (roughly Rs. 71,300) respectively. The iPhone 7 Plus is expected to be priced at CNY 6,088 (roughly Rs. 61,200), CNY 6,888 (roughly Rs. 69,200), and CNY 7,888 (roughly Rs. 79,300) respectively. It is important to note that the Indian prices are just based on actual conversion rates, and the exact pricing is calculated after deliberation of many market factors. There is also another leak that suggests that Apple will keep the same price points as previous generations for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, with of course a large premium for the top-end 256GB variant. Interestingly, Kuo says Apple's decision to include improved water resistance and the strict quality standards it has imposed on this have dramatically reduced yields and pressured the supply chain. He says Apple will ship 60-65 million units till the end of the year, down from 82 million last year.

Apple released iOS 9 officially for the users worldwide on September 16th 2015 . As expected, the response was more than overwhelming and millions of users updated to iOS 9 right after it was seeded. So many people downloading the update at the same time caused the Apple servers to overload and result in update errors, something which is not surprising and was expected. Meanwhile, Pangu team has released the iOS 9 jailbreak .
However, Apple has also released iOS 10 [ beta version ] and iOS 9.3.3 and many people have already given it a try and installed it on their iOS device. As it is still in its very first state, it may have some bugs or vulnerabilities which may cause the phone to misbehave. Anyway, iOS 9.3.2 is much more stable than iOS 9.3.3, which is the reason why many people would want to Downgrade to iOS 9.3.2 from latest iOS release. Well, it is obviously possible and suggested too, as it is always better to stay on a stable public iOS release rather than a new iOS firmware.
So if you want to downgrade from new iOS to old iOS version simply follow the below given steps.
How to Downgrade iOS :
Make sure that iTunes in your computer is updated to the latest version. If not, then update it first before proceeding.
Now go to Settings > iCloud in your iOS device and disable Find My iPhone.
Launch iTunes on your computer and connect your iOS device.
Now activate the Restore mode in your device. For putting your device into Restore mode, press and hold the Power and Home buttons together until the Apple logo appears. Once the logo comes on the screen, let go of the Power button but keep holding the Home button till you see the familiar connect to iTunes message on the screen.
Now iTunes will detect your phone in recovery mode and you will be given an option to update your device or restore it. Click on the Update button.
Next, accept the terms of use for iOS firmware that is available .
Now just wait for iTunes to Download iOS Firmware [note the signing status]. If your iOS device exits the recovery mode, simply put it back into the recovery mode after iOS has been downloaded. Then connect it to your computer and follow the process again from Step 5 and onwards while skipping Step 7.
After iOS Firmware has been downloaded, your device will be updated and iTunes will Install iOS Firmware on it.
After a few minutes, the upgrade will be completed and your device will ask you to Slide to Upgrade. Just do that and you’re done !
Only recently Apple has added iOS 10 to the public for more testing purposes. We suggest that you remain on the more stable iOS to prevent your iOS device from misbehaving.
iOS 9, the operating system software for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, was unveiled during WWDC 2015 in June 2015 and finally became available to all on 16 September 2015. Then iOS 10 was unveiled a year later, at WWDC 2016. You've probably got three questions: can I update my iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS, should I update my iPhone or iPad to a new version of iOS and (if the answer to the first two is yes) how can I make the upgrade.
We'll address these questions in that order in our complete guide to iOS upgrades. We've also got details on how to install iOS 9's subsequent updates including iOS 9.3.4, how to install the beta version of iOS 10, and whether you should let Apple update your iPhone for you overnight.
The section below refers to iOS 9.1, where there was a bug in updating your device overnight. From our experience this is no longer the case with the newer revision, iOS 9.3.
With iOS 10 Beta 8, Apple is trying to encourage more users to install the incremental updates that provide fixes and small improvements by offering the chance to install them for you overnight when you are sleeping. If you're prompted to update your iPhone while you're using it, Apple now lets you choose 'Later,' which will then specify a time period during which it will update automatically for you if you've got your iPhone plugged in to a power source, which most people do overnight anyway.
When Apple prompted Macworld's own Ashleigh Allsopp to update to iOS 10 Beta 8 and offered me that 'Later' option, she decided to make the most of the convenient new feature. She expected to wake up in the morning as usual to an updated iPhone. And indeed she did, but she woke up more than an hour after her alarm was scheduled to go off. The update had worked brilliantly, but her alarm had been deactivated, causing her to be very late for work.
She's not the only one. Users have taken to social media and forums to express their annoyance with the issue, which we consider to be a bug, and many have been late for important meetings and school.
Therefore, we'd only recommend choosing the later option if you don't have to wake up at a particular time in the morning, or if you can set another alarm on a different
There was a time just a few years back when the 4-inch screen was considered Apple’s big phone. After five generations of 3.5-inch screens, Apple made the iPhone taller in 2012 with the 4-inch iPhone 5. The width remained the same in a “common sense” move that maintained easy one-hand use for most people, and the 16:9 aspect ratio framed video playback perfectly. Two years later, Apple upgraded the iPhone with two new models: 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, but no new 4-inch iPhone until now.
iPhone SE is the first upgrade to this size since the iPhone 5s in 2013. It’s a huge specs upgrade if you’re coming from an iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, or earlier. And in some cases like mine, iPhone SE is mostly on par with Apple’s iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus flagships. But there are a few limitations of varying importance plus a few oddities that should be considered before buying … even with the relatively competitive price tag on iPhone SE.
You can read how that compares to the rest of the lineup here, but this is how it all translates:
iPhone SE has the smallest screen which shows less content than the iPhone 6/6s but it’s just as sharp
iPhone SE isn’t the thinnest iPhone (it’s actually the thickest in the current lineup) but it is the lightest since it’s smaller
iPhone SE has the same back camera as the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, but the design is thicker so you don’t have the camera bump
iPhone SE lights up the screen when you take a selfie, but the photo quality isn’t nearly as good as the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and even the 9.7-inch iPad Pro
Speed is just as fast as the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, which means it beats the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus by a lot, and older iPhones by even more; you can also activate Siri anytime with just your voice
iPhone SE can replace your credit card in places like Best Buy, Walgreens, and McDonalds, and the fingerprint sensor is the same as iPhone 5s, not the faster version on iPhone 6s
There’s no option for 128GB and most people should avoid the 16GB option, but the 64GB version if $250 cheaper than the same storage option on the iPhone 6s
Same color options as the iPhone 5s, but space gray is slightly lighter and now you can choose rose gold
iPhone SE has the best battery life for LTE and Wi-Fi Internet use compared to any iPhone
